9. DATA AND MESSAGE CHECKING

One of the purposes of the Academy platforms is to make new contacts online for areas of private life. For this reason, Academy strives to protect its users from inappropriate contact requests and content, and places great value on seriousness. The following precautions have been taken to ensure this:

To protect against persons misusing the Academy's platforms, the Academy uses various automated monitoring tools to randomly analyze activities and check user entries for plausibility, without the Academy being obligated to do so. Certain character strings or logins of different users that appear to come from one and the same computer, for example, can lead to blocking due to suspicious activities.

In addition, the Academy carries out automated filtering of messages. Texts written by users are checked by the Academy on the basis of word lists for their compatibility with applicable law and with the General Terms and Conditions. Words, e.g. racist or clearly offensive words, are automatically compared with user texts. Should the random checks lead to the suspicion of misuse, the legal consequences are listed in § 10 (Sanctions) of the Academy's General Terms and Conditions. The Academy is also entitled to refuse acceptance and delivery of incoming or outgoing messages if, based on the automated checking process, there is a high probability that the message in question is illegal and/or violates the Academy's General Terms and Conditions. The user will not receive any notification of rejected or undelivered messages.

10. BEST PRACTICES IN ONLINE COMMUNICATION

The user is aware that, according to the current state of the art, data protection is not yet ensured when transmitting data on the Internet. E-mails in particular do not represent secure communication, because the "reading" of content cannot be technically ruled out. The user himself is responsible for the security of the data he transmits to the Internet.
